SynthEyes uses two folders for batch file processing: an input folder and an output folder. Submit for ... places them into the input folder. During processing, Mask ML output is written to its location, exports are written to the export location, completed

.sni files are written to either the original scene’s location (with _batched appended) or to the output folder, and then the input file is removed. You can open the Batch In and Batch Out folders via items in the Batch Processing submenu.

You can set the location of the batch input, Mask ML, export, and batch output folders from the Preferences panel. It’s often convenient to use <SCENEDIR> tags in the Mask ML and export folder locations, to keep them all together. The <SCENEDIR> tag resolves to the location of the original sni file during batch processing, not to its location in the Batch Queue.

You can move batch processing to a remote machine by changing the Batch In and Batch Out folder locations to be on a networked drive on the remote batcher machine. If you want to use <SCENEDIR>-relative paths for Mask ML and exported files, you’ll need to make sure they are all on shared drives accessible to the batch processing machine.
