Inspecting Embedded Scene Presets
Scenario. A collaborator sends you a .sni file containing custom settings (e.g., trackers, exporters, camera rigs). You need to inspect these embedded presets to decide whether to adopt, modify, or ignore them.
Open the Scene. Launch SynthEyes and load the .sni file so that all scene-level presets are available.
Open the Workflow Presets Manager. Go to Edit > Manage Workflow Presets.
Navigate to Scene Presets. In the Source dropdown (top-left), select Scene (or Any). Expand /Scene in the left pane to view categories like Exporters, Rooms, Viewport Layouts, and Preferences.
Inspect a Preset. Click on a preset (e.g., Stereo (Scene)). Switch the right pane to Values mode to view detailed settings.
Decide on an Action.
Option A: Copy useful presets to /User for modification. You can either drag the preset over (or copy and paste it) after switching back to Presets mode.
Option B: Use the scene preset temporarily if it suits the current project.
Option C: Ignore or manage outdated presets via the Scene Settings UI. (Note: Scene presets are embedded in the .sni file and cannot be deleted from the Manager.)
Finalize. Click OK to confirm changes, or Cancel if no changes are made.
