Windows

On Windows, you must install Python 2.7 or 3 onto your machine first—Windows does not contain python. (Or you can locate python in one of your other applications.) You can download it from python.org.

If you have changed the SynthEyes or python install location, you will need to update SyPy/SyPy3's syconfig.py.

Copy the folder C:\Program Files\BorisFX\SynthEyes 2024\SyPy into C:\Python27\Lib\site- packages Windows should ask you for permission to do so.

For python 3, copy the folder C:\Program Files\Boris FX\SynthEyes 2024\SyPy3 into C:\Program Files\Python37\Lib\site-packages Windows should ask you for permission to do so.

Depending on your exact version and installation details, you may have to adjust those folder names.

Start SynthEyes and Edit/Preferences. Go to the System section and make sure that the python executable filename there corresponds to your system. Use pythonw.exe if you are using SynthEyes-supplied scripts, or use python.exe to display a Windows command window for diagnostic output.
